ROIC Design

SCD's in house mixed signal VLSI design capabilities allow development of world class Readout Integrated Circuits (ROIC). Those devices interface with various pixels down to 10 m pitch, many formats of up to 3Mpixels and a large number of sensing materials such as: MCT, InSb, VOx microbolometers, InGaAs, XBn and T2SL.

SCD's experienced ROIC design team has been bringing out remarkable record of tens of successful designs based on advanced CMOS processes down to 0.18 m using in house cryogenic device modeling capabilities to propose ROICs designated for a wide range of detector types, operating temperatures, spectral ranges, and specific applications.

SCD's digital ROICs for cooled detectors are in production since 2003, offering high performance while maintaining system's SWaP-C advantages. These digital ROICs achieve high frame rates, superior image quality, and allow for simple system integration. SCD's family of ROICs for uncooled detectors support a wide range of operating temperatures while achieving superior levels of sensitivity. Unique functionalities of laser pulse detection have been integrated into the SNIR ROIC, which can operate with InSb, XBn, and InGaAs detectors.

The full range of SCD's ROICs support a wide spectrum of applications, ranging from mainstream to high end specific tasks, integrating various functions on chip such as multiple gain levels, arbitrary integration time control, binning, windowing and more.
